* SAMARINDA CITY *

1. Masjid Raya Darussalam

     It is interesting tourism of culture located at heart of city in 50-70 since year ago.

    More less in 1990 year ago it was restored with concrete construction is three flooared and to       rethought as mosque as the part east place centre. solid construction mosque is third floor can cover more less 14.000 people.

2. The Great Garden Farm University of Mulawarman

    The garden of samarinda as the forest education and botani farm are one of natural object tourist. having many characteristic by developing of education forest with 62.4 Ha to be arboretum, of artificial forest natural forest, the forest with length leaf, the plantation forest konfer, flower garden, falm fotest and bambo garden, then the rest of it around 236.5 Ha is secondary forest having process to climax condition.

    Many facilities are in the location : fishing fond, restaurant, waterbicycle, farm of animal ( tropical farm of bird, crocodylisus tamostomas, orang utan, etc).

    Besides as recreation place also used as healty jogging sport because of the clean air by maintained vegetation in this area. the tourist object located about 12 km north of samarinda city, can be reached by bus or bicycle.

3. Pampang Culture Areal of Park

    The pampang culture park is formed by the over stay of the tride Dayak Kenya form hanturland place (apokayan) bulungan regency through Muara Wahau, Long Segah, Tabang, Long Iram Kutai Regency in 1967.

4. Tanah Merah Waterfall

    This waterfall with 15M hight, situated more less 14km further from town, at purwosari village. The location is very ideal for familly recreation because it is completed by facilities of gazebo(pandopo), shelter place with shading tress around the location, stall, large parking place, opened stage and bathroom. To reach the location by car or motorcycle and public taxi with the route pasar segiri sungai siring.

5. Tourism of Mahakam River

     The mahakam river is the diamond river that most of it come from Kutai Kartanegara, West Kutai Regency and Samarinda City.

     The social culture population of samarinda we know silk as one of riwer to used transportation of passenger and material to export out the other country. In the night, we can see add felt corn and any small stall by other food the long of mahakam river.

6. Samarinda Sarong Handy Craft

    Located at samarinda seberang wall known as a centre of samarinda handy craft. The beginning of samarinda handy craft was brought by the Bugis Etnic from Sulawesi Staying at the side of Mahakam river (now Samarinda Seberang).

  Almost in every Bugis settlement (masjid and baka village) you can find Samarinda Sarong Craftmen.

   To get the location of weaving Samarinda Sarong Handy Craft Industry by using motor cano( ketinting,klotok,tambangan) from pasar pagi or by car through Mahakam Bridge to masjid or baqa village.

* BALIKPAPAN CITY *

Manggar Segarasari Beach , situated 9km to the eastof sepinggan Airport Balikpapan and 22km from centre of balikpapan city. Many visitors go to this beach for recreation and enjoy wave and white sand. Provided public fasilities, parking place, shelter, information room, the local map, toilet/bathroom. Easily being reached by both own vehicle and public taxi and avery visitor must be payment.

Breeding Crocodiles situated at tritip village of east balikpapan 27km from centre of balikpapan city, more less 5Ha wide. activity of crocodile farm has been begun since 1990.
 The kinds of crocodile are buaya muara( crocodylus porosus), buaya supit( tamistoma scheillius), buaya airtawar( crocodylus siamlisus). The porpose of the preserve is to breed wild animal, cultivate business of crocodile skin and as tourist object. you can reched this place by public taxi trayek no.07 and own car.
The crocodile farm is open for public 06.00-17.00 everyday.

* KUTAI KARTANEGARA REGENCY *

Natural tourist Area of Bukit Bengkirai, located more less 58 km from balikpapan city to the part of samarinda is advanture tourist inside primary forest area. is is part of tropical rain forest in east kalimantan with the area of 15 million Ha wide.
Beside of the beautiful natrue, there is also a canopy bridge named "jembatan tajuk" about 30 M in high and a few kinds of bird like heaven bird(drongos), enggang bird (rhiconeros hornbill). this place is used for research and aducation for forestry

* BONTANG CITY *

Beras Basah island, tourism of Beras Basah island is near to the location of badak LNG factory, so the object is still used limited, especially for Badak LNG employes because it concern security problem surrounding the location of factory.
